For more information about a particular item, click on the title and a full description will appear in a product page. There you can read product details, see related online features or products, and view other media formats. Some items are offered in class sets (30 copies for instructional use), which will be indicated in the full description. Take care to follow the instructions when ordering these publications.

To Order

First determine the quantity and then click the Add to Order button for each item. Review your order at any time by clicking on "View/Edit Order" at the top of the page.

Checking Out

After you have finished making your selections, proceed to Checkout to review your order and submit it for processing. If you have not logged in, you will be asked to do so in order to retrieve your shipping information. If you do not have an account and wish to open one, you can do so at this point.

You will have the opportunity to review your order, send it to someone other than yourself, update your account or your order, or send us feedback. After submitting your order, you will be sent an email notification that your order has been received. Make note of the order number for tracking purposes. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Report a Problem

From time to time you may encounter difficulties with our site. We want to know about it. Please report any technical problem or tell us if  you could not find what you were looking for. If you received an error message, please paste a copy of it in your email or describe as best you can what you were trying to do when the error occurred.

Special Requests for Multiple Copies for the Classroom

Multiple copies of certain items are available to science educators within North America for use in the classroom. During checkout, click on the “multiple order for classroom” link and fill out the special request form. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the review process.

You can no longer order issues of the HHMI Bulletin magazine through our Order Materials area. Back issues of the HHMI Bulletin magazine are available for download as Adobe PDFs. To request a single print copy of the current issue or a back issue, please email bulletin@hhmi.org. Be sure to include your phone number in addition to your shipping address.

Lab Management titles

We no longer ship hard copies of the Lab Management books, Making the Right Moves and Training Scientists to Make the Right Moves. However, Lab Management books are still available free for download.

Is there any charge for your materials?
All products ordered through the HHMI site are free for educators. There is no shipping charge.

How long does it take to get my order?
Orders are processed daily and shipped. Domestic orders usually arrive within 2-4 weeks. Packages weighing over one pound are shipped via United Parcel Service; packages under one pound are handled by the United States Postal Service.

Can I change my order after I have submitted it?
You can send corrections to biointeractive@hhmi.org. We'll take it from there.

What if there is a problem with my order?
If the order is defective, please discard the item and reorder. Let us know what the defect was by contacting us.
