Tips From Teachers

“I had my students watch The Day the Mesozoic Died — what a great film! We used the Following the Trail of Evidence handouts and the kids listed the evidence from the film that led to the discovery that the asteroid struck Earth. The film plus the activity helped tie this lesson not only to the evolution unit we just started but also to the joint English class/Biology class paper they are all writing. It was an exercise in argumentative writing and using evidence to support their claims.” -- Martha Yochum (Elgin High School, IL)
