Jay Jacobs is the former President and Managing Director of global investment management firm PIMCO, with over 30 years of experience in the financial sector and on numerous boards. Jacobs presently serves on the board of directors of Commercial Trust Company in Fayette, Missouri, where he is chair, and the board of trustees of Central Methodist University. His prior board service includes Citigroup, Washington University in St. Louis, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, and the board of advisors at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
Jacobs received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and his MBA from Georgetown University.
Jacobs was elected a Trustee of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2024.
