Science is a complex, unending, collaborative journey. The Nobel Prizes for science annually seek to recognize individuals who have “conferred the greatest benefit to mankind” in several fields: physics, chemistry, and physiology or medicine. Since 1978, more than 30 scientists supported by HHMI have won.
