Carl S. Thummel, Ph.D.

Carl S. Thummel

Dr. Thummel is Professor of Human Genetics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree in biology from Colgate University and his Ph.D. degree in biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, where he worked with Robert Tjian. Dr. Thummel received postdoctoral training in David Hogness's laboratory at Stanford University.



RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUMMARY:

Carl Thummel's laboratory uses the fruit fly, Drosophila, as a model system to study the molecular mechanisms of hormone signaling.
