Dr. Stamler is also Professor of Medicine and of Biochemistry and George Barth Geller Professor for Research in Cardiovascular Diseases at Duke University Medical Center. He received his B.A. degree from Brandeis University and his M.D. degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City. He completed an internship, residency in medicine, and fellowship training in both cardiovascular and pulmonary medicine at Brigham and Womens, Boston, and associated VA hospitals. He joined the faculty at Harvard Medical School before moving to Duke.
