Michael E. O'Donnell, Ph.D.

Michael E. O'Donnell

Dr. O'Donnell is also Professor at the Rockefeller University. He received his Ph.D. degree at the University of Michigan for work with Charles Williams, Jr., on electron transfer in the flavoprotein thioredoxin reductase. He performed postdoctoral work on Escherichia coli replication with Arthur Kornberg and then on herpes simplex virus replication with Robert Lehman, both in the Biochemistry Department at Stanford University. Dr. O'Donnell was a member of the faculty of Cornell University Medical College, New York City, before moving to Rockefeller. He was recently elected a member of the National Academy of Sciences.



RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUMMARY:

Michael O'Donnell's laboratory studies the molecular architecture and mechanisms by which chromosomal DNA is replicated.
