Jamey D. Marth, Ph.D.

Jamey D. Marth

Dr. Marth is Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. He received his B.Sc. degree in biochemistry from the University of Oregon and his Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from the University of Washington. He subsequently joined the faculty of the Biomedical Research Centre and the Department of Medical Genetics at the University of British Columbia prior to his present position in San Diego.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUMMARY:

Jamey Marth is investigating the biological functions of protein glycosylation and the cellular mechanisms by which this type of post-translational modification regulates mammalian physiology and participates in disease pathogenesis.
