Thomas C. Kaufman, Ph.D.

Thomas C. Kaufman

Dr. Kaufman is Distinguished Professor of Biology at Indiana University, Bloomington, and Adjunct Professor of Medical Genetics at Indiana University Medical Center. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas, Austin, and did his postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.



RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUMMARY:

Thomas Kaufman is interested in understanding the role of genes in the developmental process, particularly how the essentially two-dimensional information encoded in the DNA is translated into a three-dimensional organism.
