Iva Greenwald, Ph.D.

Iva  Greenwald

Dr. Greenwald is also Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She received her B.S. degree from Cornell University and her Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She did postdoctoral work at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, England, and was on the faculty of Princeton University before moving to Columbia. Dr. Greenwald was recently elected a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.



RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUMMARY:

Iva Greenwald's work is focused on LIN-12/Notch function in cell-cell interactions that specify cell fate during development.
