Dr. Caron is James B. Duke Professor of Cell Biology and Research Professor of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Laval University in Quebec, Canada, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Miami. After postdoctoral training with Robert Lefkowitz at Duke University, he returned to Laval University as Assistant Professor of Physiology before joining the faculty at Duke.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUMMARY:
Marc Caron is interested in the structure-function relationships and regulatory mechanisms of receptor and transporter proteins that mediate the effects of catecholamines, and their role in normal and abnormal physiology.
