Andrey Zaraisky, Ph.D., D.Sc.

Andrey  Zaraisky

Dr. Zaraisky is chief of the Laboratory of the Molecular Basis of Embryogenesis at the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Insititute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, in Moscow. He received his Ph.D. in developmental biology in 1991 from the Moscow State University. He did postdoctoral work in France at the University of Paul Sabatier. He has been visiting scientist in the United States at the University of Virginia. In 2001, he received the A.A. Baev Award in Genomic Biology, and, in 2004, he received an award from the Russian Science Support Foundation. He was first named an HHMI International Research Scholar in 2000.
