International Programs

HHMI and partners launched the International Research Scholar Program in 2017, with an aim to develop outstanding early career scientists worldwide. In 2009, HHMI helped establish the KwaZulu-Natal Research Institute for Tuberculosis and HIV (K-RITH). In 2016, K-RITH merged with the Africa Centre to form the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI).
