The Summer Scholars program engages 16 high school juniors in eight-week research projects under the mentorship of a YSP volunteer and a faculty member. Summer Scholars PLUS allows students who excel in the laboratory to continue working the summer following graduation from high school and during their college careers. The Teacher/Researcher Partnership Program is a research experience for SLPS HS & MS science teachers. The Science Educator Academy (SEA) mobilizes the resources of the University to provide pedagogical training to our graduate/medical students and postdoctoral fellows serving as volunteers. SEA organizes a University-wide colloquium series on community science education that will engage a wide range of faculty and experts from the region on a biweekly basis.
