Challenges
  • Sustained Funding. The programs supported by HHMI funding are having vast positive effects on the entire community from the summer campers and their families to the staff that run these programs, the entire University community as well as the research activities spawned by this HHMI program. Sustenance of this program will require new resources and a commitment of University support.
  • Loss of personnel to coordinate the diverse activities of this grant. The activities supported by this grant are extraordinarily diverse and require coordination across the University. New individuals need to be hired to ensure continued efforts and impacts on the community.
