Outcomes, Challenges, and Resources

Outcomes
No data present at this time
Challenges
  • Immunology faces growing numbers of applicants each year. At the start of the grant approximately 300 students applied, and in the final year 1200 students applied. To meet this challenge, Immunology greatly increased the number of students accepted as interns from about 20 five years ago to 65 this past spring.
  • Genetics faces continuing challenges with lack of funding and personnel to expand the program. Genetics has turned to alumni of the Stanford at the Tech program to come back and help run the Genetics Carnival at Overfelt High School. This has solved the personnel issue.
