Funding to overall AHEC programs was reduced, which resulted in reduced personnel overall, and changes in job descriptions/duties. We addressed this by combining and reassigning responsibilty for individual program responsibilities. we are also searching for additional resources to sustain both program
rapid program growth. Though the rate of growth slowed slightly from the previous year, increased usage continues to challenge coordination of box loans and maintenence. A partial solution has been to consolidate and centralize the In-a-Box program for scheduling and box maintenence, while continuing the regionalized approach for marketing and technical assistance.
