The NEXUS Project

Meet the Team

The NEXUS project is comprised of faculty teams at each of the four participating institutions who are actively engaged in developing new undergraduate science curricula on their campuses.  But NEXUS is more than a collection of four separate teams; the design of this project ensures that participants can learn from each other and benefit by sharing classroom resources, assessment strategies, and ideas about how to implement competency-based curricula.

This kind of collaborative effort demands an organizational structure that can support information sharing and ongoing communication among members. To achieve this, NEXUS is coordinated through two bodies, the Executive Steering Committee and the global assessment committee.

Executive Steering Committee
Project activities will be coordinated by an Executive Steering Committee comprised of representatives from each of the participating institutions. The committee meets monthly to discuss business and to receive project updates from participating institutions. The committee chair is a rotating appointment determined by the members.
