CyberBridge
CyberBridge, a website from Harvard University, features tutorials and quizzes that teach concepts from AP Biology and AP Chemistry that are fundamental to success in introductory college or university life sciences courses. Although designed for entering Harvard University freshmen, the tutorials on CyberBridge can be used more widely. Faculty might incorporate the topics into classes or encourage students to use the website to refresh their knowledge of specific concepts. CyberBridge is divided into a variety of topic areas, ranging from population genetics to chemical bonding. Each major topic is divided into sub-topics. For example, the math section covers the metric system, significant figures, and scientific notation, while the section on chemical bonding is divided between van der Waals forces and ionic, covalent, polar, and hydrogen bonds. Each major topic has an assessment quiz, allowing students to immediately apply concepts from the tutorial. The website also contains a glossary of terms for all topics in the tutorials.
