Research Scholar Janos Zahajsky performs functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) on a subject's brain while she engages in a memory task. Working with Dr. Alex Martin in the Laboratory of Brain and Cognition at the National Institute of Mental Health, he uses functional imaging to characterize the neural activity associated with memory processes that mediate recognition and implicit learning.
