Author Role & Responsibility
AUTHOR APPROVAL OF WEB VERSION REQUIRED. By agreement with Elsevier, HHMI authors must notify journal of HHMI affiliation at the time of article acceptance; the corresponding principal investigator will be contacted by PubMed Central is responsible for reviewing the materials that Elsevier has uploaded, and approving them. HHMI has an arrangement with Elsevier for direct central payment of the uploading service and public access availability. The author will be responsible for any additional publication charges.
Publisher Role
Upon publication Elsevier will deposit the accepted author manuscript and supplemental material to PubMed Central.
Additional Information
The author manuscript with supplemental material will appear on PubMed Central 6 months following publication.The published article and supplemental material will be available for nonsubscribers on ScienceDirect 18 months following final publication.
