Author Role & Responsibility
HHMI authors must select the "Open Access" option during the manuscript submission process. Author review and approval of uploaded material is not required. The publisher will bill the corresponding author for open access charges and any publication charges. Open access charges are reimbursed to HHMI laboratories subject to HHMI policy.
Publisher Role
For HHMI authors who select the open access option and pay the fee, ASH will deposit the final version of the article into PubMed Central immediately upon publication. Articles will also be immediately accessible on the Blood website.
Additional Information
ASH provides full access to articles at 12 months and also deposits final articles on PubMed at 12 months as part of the PubMed Central (NIH Portfolio) Archive Program. An open access model is available for HHMI authors with final articles made available on PubMed Central immediately upon publication. Articles will also be immediately accessible on the Blood website.
