Author Role & Responsibility
Author review and approval of the uploaded material is not required. When a manuscript is accepted, HHMI authors must select the "AuthorChoice" option, and pay the fee and any additional publication charges. Payment of the AuthorChoice fee will enable articles to be publicly accessible on the Journal site and in PMC immediately upon receipt of payment. Open access charges are reimbursed to HHMI laboratories subject to HHMI policy.
Publisher Role
The APS will submit final published articles to PMC for authors. For immediate release, authors must pay an AuthorChoice fee, which will enable articles to be publicly accessible on the Journal site and in PubMed Central immediately upon receipt of payment.
Additional Information
Articles published under the AuthorChoice option are available immediately after publication on the journal website. Journal provides all articles after 12 months.
