HHMI Advisory Boards

The Institute draws on the expertise and advice of outside experts who serve on several HHMI advisory panels.

The Medical Advisory Board is the principal advisory group for the Institute's scientific programs. Its members, including distinguished scientists and leaders of biomedical research, advise HHMI's president, vice presidents, and senior science officers on the Institute's long-range strategy and mission regarding research. The distinguished scientists who comprise the Scientific Review Board (SRB) participate in and advise HHMI's president on the review of Institute investigators for reappointment. In this capacity, the members of the SRB work with the Medical Advisory Board. Moresmall arrow

The most recently formed advisory group of the Institute is the Science Education Advisory Board (SEAB). Members of the SEAB meet semiannually to provide advice on current and future HHMI programs in scientific education. Moresmall arrow
